Joseph Berment-McDowald has been involved in the pest management industry for at least 34 years. He is a graduate of the Residential Pest Management School held at the Asa Wright Nature Centre in 2004, the University of the West Indies’ (UWI) first pest control operator training programme in 2007, and of both the University of Florida and Broward Community College’s fumigator certification programmes. He has been a long-standing member and director of PMATT and has served on the Board of Directors of the Trinidad and Tobago Coalition of Services Industries (TTCSI); Deputy Chairman of the National Labour Market Council; radio talk-show host and presenter; a high school teacher; trades instructor; a trained scout leader; scouts headquarters commissioner, and member of the National Scouts Association Training Team.
He studied economics, social change, environmental science, international relations and organisational communications at York University.
He has and continues to serve in voluntary and public service roles.
